10 Motivational Quotes To Inspire Action

It’s no secret that I am a fan of both motivational quotes and bicycles. So, when compiling this list of 10 motivational quotes that often inspire me in to taking action, it should be no surprise that the first one applies life lessons learned from a bicycle.

As you read these, please keep this in mind.  Think. See. BELIEVE. Dwell. Determine. These are my five, overly simplified, easier-said-than-done steps to achieving your goals. Remember, just like on a bicycle, forward motion starts with the very first pedal stroke. If you’re not pedaling, you’re not taking action.

  1. “Life is like riding a bicycle. You don’t fall off unless you stop peddling.” ~ Claude D Pepper
  2. “The difference between stumbling blocks and stepping stones is how you use them.” ~ Unknown
  3. “Positive attitude is defined as the way you dedicate yourself to the way you think. The definition for a negative attitude is exactly the same.” ~ Jeffrey Gitomer
  4. “Remember, a real decision is measured by the fact that you’ve taken new action. If there’s no action, you haven’t truly decided.” ~ Anthony Robbins
  5. “Winning starts with beginning…” ~ Anonymous (Note: I saw this on a tee-shirt in Niketown)
  6. “A wise man will make more opportunities than he finds.” ~ Francis Bacon
  7. “Visualize this thing that you want, see it, feel it, believe in it. Make your mental blue print, and begin to build.” ~ Robert Collier
  8. “The surest way not to fail is to determine to succeed” ~ Richard Brinsley Sheridan
  9. ?”The tragedy of life doesn’t lie in not reaching your goal. The tragedy lies in having no goal to reach” ~ Benjamin F. Mays
  10.  “Continuous effort – not strength or intelligence – is the key to unlocking our potential.”  ~ Winston Churchill

So, what do you think? Any of these resonate with you more than the others? Do you have a favorite motivational quote that’s not listed here? Please leave me a comment below and share it with us. Thanks.
